WHAT IS GLOBAL WARMING?

So, ever wondered what global warming actually is? Over the years, the climate has faced many rapid changes and that is why such a big issue is usually made out of it. My aim will be mainly to help those who have no scientic knowledge on global warming to understand it .
Global warming is happening due to increases  in the amount of  emission of greenhouse  gases that is accumulating in the atmosphere  and it is thus considered to be one of the most challenging  problem that is facing humanity. There are various things that contribute to global warming and they are both natural and human factors. For example some natural causes would be as simple as volcanic activity (because volcanoes release gases into the air) and as for humans - the burning of fossil fuels, pollution and so on.

It is important to know what the 'Greenhouse effect' and the'Enhanced greenhouse effect actually is'. In simple words, here is basically what they are :

1. Greenhouse effect: It is the process by which the earth's atmosphere traps solar radiation via   greenhouse gases (Carbon dioxide, methane etc ...) as they allow incoming sunlight to pass through but absorb heat radiated back from the earth's surface.
2. Enhanced greenhouse effect: The increasing amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere  due to human activity and their impact on the atmospheric systems, including global warming.

Here is a nice and easy diagram showing the greenhouse effect :
