Did you know?

I was keeping up with my weekly celebrity gossip when i came a across an article named "Green Celebrities" and i thought that 'green celebrities' never existed! - well i got pawned!

So here are a few :

 Natalie Portman

Natalie has been advocating environmental preservation for almost her entire life. She is a regular supporter for PETA; she has been vegetarian since her childhood. As a young girl, she joined an environmental song and dance group, World Patrol Kids. In 2004 and 2005, she traveled to Uganda, Guatemala, and Ecuador as the Ambassador of Hope for FINCA International, an organization that promotes micro-lending to help finance women-owned businesses in poor countries (increased education and decreased poverty leads to a better understanding and concern for environmental awareness). She also worked on a campaign to help save the tropical habitat of African mountain gorillas. After taking part in these numerous campaigns, Portman released her own line of vegan footwear in the Spring of 2008.

Angelina Jolie

Jolie is on the board of advisors for the YĆ©le Haiti Foundation, and with husband, Brad Pitt she helped Wyclef Jean with his Clean Streets project. Jolie also arranged a deal with People Magazine allowing them to print the first picture showing her visibly pregnant in exchange for a $500,000 donation to the charity.

UPDATES :

Hello world, i apologize again for not posting regularly. Well i found this video on YouTube - watch it, its definitely less boring than reading fully written blog posts. In other words, it says that if a dog can stay green, then why can't you? and really it's not that hard lol. Anyway, the point of this blog post was actually about my CAS project which i'm planning to do soon (hopefully) in collaboration with my CAS supervisor and Rotary Club. So what i can tell you so far is that, we will be fundraising via a secondhand book sale, and the money will be used to buy plants/trees for primary school in order to increase their awareness on environmental issues that we are currently facing!

So, yeah, that's basically it for today. I will keep you updated about this coming project!
